CONNECT 4 JUMBO
Little kids can have fun putting the pieces in the slots and learning how to count. Older kids will not only have fun playing the original game but can compete and create new games. Kids will love challenging mom and dad to a couple of games also.
When you are in to check out some books, make time to play a few rounds, have a few laughs, and before you leave, grab a hot chocolate or coffee.
We look forward to seeing our extraordinary patrons!

Book Page Magnifier

When declining eyesight and standard reading glasses are no longer sufficient to read regular print books and limits you to large print books, it can be frustrating and depressing. Not only that, but a lot of the books you’d like to read are not in large print format. Thanks to the Friends of the Library, we have a new item at the library that you can check out to read those regular print books with ease! It’s a LED page magnifier with hands free foldable stand (beneficial to those with arthritis). It has 3 lighting modes, anti-glare LED, and the magnifier is removable.
This will only be made available for our patrons, meaning it will not go out in circulation to other libraries. It can be checked out at the front desk and has a maximum checkout period of 28 days (the day you check out your book to the date its‘s due). It MUST be turned in at the front desk. It CANNOT be put in the drop box.
Stop in and check out those books you’ve been wanting to read but couldn’t. We have the tool for you! 😁

Puzzle Swap

It’s that time of year again! Take a puzzle, leave a puzzle.

Gems in a jar winners

We have our winners for the Guess How Many Gems in the Jar contest.
The winner for the Bluey book including activities is Mikey Fuhrman! He guessed 559 gems.
The winner for the gift certificate to Headquarters is Sharon Athey! She guessed 775 gems.
The total amount of gems in the jar is 777. Wow Sharon! You were almost spot on! 😮☺️
Thank you to all that participated in this fun little contest. I loved watching the ones that picked up the jar and really studied it. It made me giggle. I would’ve done the same thing.

Adult Winter Reading Program 2025

The annual Adult Winter Reading program is around the corner and signup starts now!
Stop in the library and join this fun, free program that’s lots of fun!
Join with a friend of family member and have some friendly competition if you’d like. All you have to do is set a goal for an amount of books you’d like to read in 3 months. If you reach it, great! If not, that’s okay. This is all for fun!

Christmas Centerpiece classes

My favorite time of year? Jill’s annual Christmas Centerpiece classes! Wow, were there some beautiful arrangements made! I would like to thank Jill Hennessy and her assistant, Theresa, for their time teaching the art in creating these beautiful centerpieces. They helped guide the classes to design their own unique arrangement. There was not a face that didn’t have a smile in either of the classes. Also, the smell of the greenery was a slice of heaven, and the camaraderie in the room was apparent. Thank you to everyone that attended. This program would not have been made possible if not for the MN Legacy Funding.
