Vicki’s retirement celebration

Our Big Stone County Librarian is ready to start a new chapter of life!
Help her celebrate at the Ortonville Library open house on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Vicki has been a pivotal role in the success of both the Graceville and Ortonville libraries over the years. She has received many grants as a librarian that have made great impacts on our progress and growth. She was very passionate about giving her patrons new, fun, and exciting things to do. She was driven to dig and find the best things for her community to make it enjoyable for all. Bus trips several times a year, The Design Station make-and-take kits, Missy Sigler’s kid’s kits, children’s and adult programs, seasonal programs, author visits, and so much more. She greeted her patrons with a smile and a chat and if a tricky search for items would arise, she wouldn’t stop until she found an answer or solution for them. She will be missed. Thank you, Vicki, for your service to our communities.
